Home Cooking Pro is a recipe and kitchen-calculator app published by Phulax LLC. This page explains, plainly, what the app does and doesn't do with your data. Browsing recipes and using the calculators never requires an account; a couple of optional features do involve our server, and those are described below.
You can browse every recipe, use every calculator, and save your own recipes without ever signing up or logging in. Two optional features — restoring a Pro purchase on a new device, and the AI Assistant — do talk to our server, and require creating an account to use.
The app saves a few small pieces of information locally, using standard Android app storage:
If you choose to sign in — to restore a Pro purchase on a new device, or to use the Pro AI Assistant feature — we collect the email address and password you provide, and store them on our server (phulax.pro) to create your account and verify your purchase entitlement. Your password is never stored in plain text.
If you use the AI Assistant, the diet preferences and ingredients you type in are sent to our server, which forwards them to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a recipe suggestion, then returns the result to the app. This text is used only to generate that response.
If you add a photo to one of your own custom recipes, the app asks for camera or photo-library permission to let you take or pick that picture. The photo is saved only on your device as part of that recipe — it is never uploaded to us or anyone else.
Unlocking Home Cooking Pro Pro is handled entirely by Google Play's billing system. When you purchase, your payment details go directly to Google — we never see your card number, billing address, or any other payment information. Google's handling of that data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy, not this one.
Home Cooking Pro does not integrate any advertising network, analytics SDK, or tracking pixel, and does not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. The only network calls the app makes are the ones described above (fetching a recipe photo an admin has added, restoring your purchase, and the AI Assistant), plus Google Play Billing for purchases.
Home Cooking Pro is a general-audience app and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that changes what's stored or transmitted — the revision date at the top of this page will be updated, and the change described here.
