Why bid this way instead of a spreadsheet
The usual bidding workflow splits across separate tools: takeoff software for quantities, a spreadsheet for labor and pricing, and a contract template for the proposal. Every hand-off between them is a chance for a number to drift — a quantity gets updated in the takeoff but not the spreadsheet, and the bid goes out wrong.
